Honey-Poached Pears
Soft, sweet, and soothing with no acid to sting a sore mouth, and mild enough to sit well on a queasy stomach.
Gentle for a sore mouth, nausea.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe pears, peeled, halved, cored
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
How to make it
- Simmer water, honey, and cinnamon in a pot.
- Add pears; poach 12–15 min until very soft.
- Serve warm or chilled in a little of the syrup.
- Tip: Very soft and easy to eat. Just as good cold straight from the fridge.
