Gentle Miso Soup
Light, warm, and savory. The salty, umami broth is often appealing when meat tastes off, and it's easy to sip when appetite is low.
Gentle for nausea, metallic taste, low appetite.
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 2 tbsp miso paste
- 1/2 cup soft silken tofu, cubed
- 1 green onion, sliced
- Optional: a little dried wakame
How to make it
- Heat water until hot but not boiling.
- Whisk a little hot water into the miso, then stir it back in.
- Add tofu; warm gently.
- Garnish with green onion; serve warm.
- Tip: Don't boil after adding miso (it dulls the flavor). The salty broth can be comforting on a queasy day.
