Spiced Cardamom Quinoa Porridge
Quinoa is exceptionally high in protein compared to other grains. Cardamom is a warming spice traditionally used to naturally stimulate digestion and gently pique a sluggish appetite.
Gentle for low appetite.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup dry quinoa, rinsed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup water
- A pinch of ground cardamom
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup
How to make it
- Combine rinsed quinoa, almond milk, and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the ground cardamom, reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- Once the liquid is absorbed and the quinoa is fluffy, remove from heat.
- Drizzle with maple syrup and serve warm in a small bowl.
