Herbed Turkey Oatmeal Bowl
Savory oatmeal is an excellent vehicle for comforting a sensitive stomach. Oats provide essential beta-glucan fibers for slow energy release, while a touch of ground turkey adds a clean, low-fat source of Coenzyme Q10 to support cellular energy.
Gentle for fatigue, low appetite.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 2/3 cup low-sodium vegetable broth
- 1 oz lean ground turkey
- A pinch of dried thyme
How to make it
- Cook the ground turkey in a small skillet until completely browned and crumbled, then drain any excess fat.
- In a small pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil, then stir in the rolled oats and dried thyme.
- Cook the oats for 5 minutes over medium-low heat until creamy, then stir in the cooked turkey crumbles.
