Ginger-Lemon Zing Cooler

Ginger contains gingerols, which naturally block serotonin receptors in the gut that trigger nausea. The sharp citrus from the lemon cuts through the dull or "metallic" taste often caused by chemotherapy.

Gentle for nausea, metallic taste.

Ingredients

How to make it

  1. Muddle or crush the sliced ginger at the bottom of a glass to release its juices.
  2. Pour in the fresh lemon juice and your choice of sweetener, stirring well.
  3. Top with cold water or sparkling water. Strain out the ginger pieces before drinking if you prefer a smoother texture.
