Gentle Pear Applesauce
While traditional applesauce can sometimes feel slightly acidic or grainy to a very sore mouth, blending cooked pears with apples rounds out the flavor and creates a much smoother, less acidic puree.
Gentle for a sore mouth.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe pear, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 sweet apple (like Gala), peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/4 cup water
How to make it
- Simmer the chopped apple, pear, and water in a small saucepan over medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes until completely mushy.
- Transfer to a blender and puree until perfectly smooth. Cool completely before serving.
