Creamy Vanilla Silken Tofu Pudding
Silken tofu has an incredibly smooth, custard-like texture that slides down effortlessly without irritating mouth sores or radiation-induced tissue sensitivity. It is an excellent source of bland, odorless, plant-based protein that won't trigger the strong smell-aversions associated with morning nausea.
Gentle for a sore mouth, nausea.
Ingredients
- 1 package (approx. 12 oz) refrigerated silken tofu, drained
- 1.5 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract (standard vanilla extract can sting a sore mouth)
- 1 tbsp unsweetened almond milk (if needed to thin)
How to make it
- Place the drained silken tofu, maple syrup, and alcohol-free vanilla extract into a blender or food processor.
- Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture is completely velvety and resembles a smooth pudding.
- If the mixture feels too thick to swallow easily, add a tablespoon of almond milk and blend again.
- Pour into a small dish and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before eating, as cold temperatures soothe mouth pain.
